Poetry Thursday : Post Election Snapshot..

The last 3 days were really exciting for me . I stayed late . Really late to watch the results of the U.S. Mid term election . What can be more exciting than this election ? Maybe the ' chad ' election of 2004 . This election was a seesaw battle for the control of the U.S. Senate . The election deserves a lousy poem from this election nut .

The election is a done feat .
That Macaca Senator conceded defeat .
The 2 Houses , the GOP lost .
The Democrats are the proud new boss .

This campaign was conducted ,
Some in dirty ways , just to be elected .
Negative ads were all around .
' Harry , call me ' in sound surround .

Even Michael J Fox was'nt spared.
Support for stem cell research he aired .
He appeared on TV shaking ,
Rush Limbaugh said he was just acting .

They say it's a referendum .
On Bush' presidency & his doom & gloom .
And even his ' stay the course '
That the U.S. voters rejected, of course .

Now we will have Pelosi .
To tackle the illegal immigration , Si !
In the Senate . it's Sen.Reid
Instead of Frist in the papers you will read .

Is it the wind of change truly ?
Like what the Dems shouted continously .
O
r else it's trouble no doubt .
They will face next said CNN's Lou Dobbs !

At Fox after election night .
It was a 'funeral athmosphere' in sight.
One NY Times writer wrote .
Hannity & O ' Reilly his hatred she sought .

Bipartisanship is now needed here .
The voice of the people they should hear.
No. 1 is the damn Iraq War .
But 1st , an oversight with no holds bar.

Finally a heartfelt announcement .
Thanks to all for democracy's advancement.
And to Tom , Dick & Harry .
Next election , don't forget to vote for Hilary !

This advertisement/poem is approved by me .

Wow! I love this poem!
Just great!

Margie:)

I love this! : )

And most importantly... I approve this comment.

Election "ads" are one thing I don't miss at all. Nice to see a woman speaking for the House, though. It's swinging back slowly, which is I guess what the idea was with the constitution- slow change, enough restrictions and red tape to keep a few idiots from collapsing the country entirely in eight years.

I think I love you.

Hillary is hot. I'd do her ;)

angel - ok. bipartisan !

margie - thanks . you're great too !

anali - love the writer as well not only the poem . ok ?

ren kat - do u miss the elections here sans the ads ?

tricis - don't think so hard , ok ?
as to doing hilary , try bill first , ok ?
