Sunday Scribblings : Morning
Morning has broken ... That's a line from a song by Cat Stevens . He's the guy who sang the classic ' Father And Son ' . Somehow , I associate morning with early practice involving fathers and sons . Like this day , at 5:30 AM , I know boys all over Canada are practicing hockey . Unbelievable . Why would parents do this thing to their kids ? Or why would kids, 5-7 years old , ' voluntarily ' go to early morning hockey practice ?
When I was young , about 12 yrs. old , we would wake up early moring to do some jogging before heading to the basketball court . I have a hard time conforming to the schedule eventhough I love playing basketball. That's why I wonder how these kids , nay babies , are able to do it - be up so early in the morning . These tots must be really love their sports to be up and going so early in the morning . Wrong . Their dads want to live their dreams thru their sons . Frustrated athletes-dads want to see their sons be the next Gretzky or Jordan or Tiger ! I guess , the early morning haze is needed to blur their clouded judgement.

I'm not a morning person, so I defintely understand about the early morning haze and lack of judgement. It's not a good thing.

I love early mornings, and also late nights!
There are many dads who do want to see their dreams through their sons!
Good post!
Take care!

I've always hated that I was a night owl- brain not kicking in until 2 or 3 in the afteroon- now there are days when I'm awake an hour before the clock wails and it frightens me. I'm too old to play t-ball!
